Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my website. My name is Rob Golbeck and I’m a freelancer living in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. Handcoded Web Services is a web development company I founded in 2011 to help small businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals make the most of their online presence.

In today’s digitally driven world, businesses and organizations of all sizes need a solid web presence in order to compete. I started Handcoded with the belief that website owners should be able to control their online presence without having to learn a bunch of different coding languages or spend huge sums of money. And that is where Handcoded comes in: I take care of all the technical stuff so you can focus on your business.

For more than thirteen years web development has been my passion. I started making websites as a hobby in 1998, and professionally in 2007. In addition to my freelance work, I am currently a Website Administrator at a major BC law firm, where I manage and maintain two websites, a blog, and the corporate intranet, as well as the firm’s social media presence. I have also volunteered on the websites of various non-profit organizations, including the BC Library Association’s Library Technicians & Assistants Interest Group, the Vancouver Association of Law Libraries, and more recently, PACE Society and Athletics for Kids.
